Photography Homework Week 4

Photography Homework Week 4:

We were tasked with: 
To take 4 photos of the church in Stanmner Park exploring the effects of changing view point and focal length. Here are mine;





To spell out our names using unusual things in the environment but not using signs;

We were also given the task of reading John Berger's About Looking, Uses of Photography. In the reading, John Berger speaks to Susan Sontag about what the use of photography is. Susan Sontag speaks about it being used for a capitalistic society. However I agree with John Berger's last argumentative point. "A radical system has to be constructed around the photograph so that it may be seen in terms which are simultaneously personal, political, economic, dramatic , everyday and historic." I feel this is more practical look into what the photograph is rather than a philosophical approach or one with a marxist outlook.
